So HNG8 has finally kicked off and I'm participating....

After hearing all the amazing stories about how HNG internship has improved the tech skills of Africans and ultimately changed their lives, I became so eager to take advantage of this life changing opportunity. Not so many times do we get the chance to advance our careers for free.

I immediately started gathering as much information as possible regarding the program, most of which I was able to get from HNG's twitter handle and from here, I learnt that it was a very competitive program. I applied through Zuri Training In March 2021, I started taking the necessary steps to becoming an HNG finalist and in doing this utilized a number of online resources to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript and React.

Anyways the guys at Zuri Team came through with an invitation for me to join the internship in the front-end track which I'm very excited about. The internship started today and I'm looking forward to working on various projects, learn how to code with a team which I haven't done during self study. I expect to work on a good number of projects to build my coding confidence and hopefully by the end of 8 weeks the imposter syndrome will have finally left my body hahaha.

Overall, I'm looking forward to the experience and meeting new people
